Rebekah Biggerstaff has worked with Ms. Coffey since September of 2009 and is one of the rising stars in medical negligence defense bar. Ms. Biggerstaff focuses her practice in the defense of complex medical malpractice lawsuits in which she has served an integral role in successfully defending health care providers at every stage of litigation. Her expertise shines in complex medical issues and research, complex legal issues, and trial strategy. She also has experience representing health care providers in North Carolina Medical Board investigations. 

Ms. Biggerstaff is licensed to practice in North Carolina and in federal district court for the Middle District of North Carolina. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.

Ms. Biggerstaff attended Wake Forest University School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2009. While in law school at Wake Forest, she was awarded the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. She was also a member of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts and departmental honors in History in 2006.
