Tara Keaton has over 30 years of experience as a paralegal. Ms. Keaton’s experience includes medical malpractice and other insurance defense litigation, Medical Board and other professional board representation and peer review and credentialing matters. She has been a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal since the program’s inception in 2006. Ms. Keaton attended the Forsyth Tech Paralegal Program. Ms. Keaton was raised in Yadkin County and resides there with her family. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Melissa P. Austin
Melissa Austin has over 25 years of legal experience in medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, personal injury, mediations and arbitrations. Ms. Austin became a Volunteer with the Guilford County Guardian Ad Litem program in January 2017. She resides in Guilford County with her family. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and reading.

Matthew R. Wilhelm
Matt Wilhelm joined Coffey Law in January 2024 as a legal assistant and research analyst and has worked his way into a paralegal role with the firm. Matt is a 2023 graduate of North Carolina State University where he obtained a degree in History. Matt is a native of Yadkinville and enjoys tennis and golf, playing guitar and watching NC State athletics.
